Philadelphia Inquirer’s “Love of a Lifetime” Contest

Jun 22nd

And in bridal news…  Janice Martin Couture designed the wedding gown for Faye Allard, who married Matthew Glass on May 23 at the Independence Seaport Museum… Faye was the happy bride who WON a $90k wedding courtesy of the Philadelphia Inquirer’s “Love of a Lifetime” contest in which nearly five hundred couples participated.

A number of websites cover the wedding… the Philadelphia Inquirer and
Kevin York Photography (he did some absolutely beautiful photos) are among the most informative.

The Philadelphia Inquirer will give you a taste of how the contest was run.

Faye was an astonishing bride, giving us all the time we needed in the two and a half months we were given in which to design her gown. She did some wonderful blogs about the experience, including those that featured video about how a gown/design develops.

Her gown is of white satin, lined in blue organza (to match her eyes)… a fitted bodice (to show off her figure) and full, long skirt/train (for drama). See her entire story in the June 16 Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper, or go to their website at www.philly.com
